Sensei George has been training in the Bujinkan since 2004 under the tutelage of Shihan Robert F. Johnson, Ju-Godan (15th degree black belt) of the Bujinkan Indianapolis Dojo. Before beginning his martial arts training Sensei George was an elite level gymnast for 19 years. After earning his Shodan (1st degree black belt), Sensei George was given permission by Sensei Johnson to begin a training group at Brevard College to continue his journey on the warrior path. He founded the Brevard College Ninpo Taijutsu training group in 2006 and led the group until 2008. Sensei George graduated from Brevard College in 2008 with a BA in Exercise Science.
After moving to Knoxville to begin a master's degree in mental health counseling Sensei George founded the Knoxville Bujinkan in the Summer of 2009.
